1992

Out of the remains of an electro band called TSU!, Boris begins to record songs on his own, calling the project "CREAM8". The name is taken from a car-plate in Rupert Thomson's Novel "The Five Gates of Hell".

1993

After finishing recording the songs for the first CREAM8-release, the 7" E.P. "The Crimson Dance" and a tape-album called "Enhanced", Boris asks Sascha to join him on more elaborate demos.

1994

The critical success of both the 7" and the album leads to a record deal and CREAM8 record their first CD "The Emerald Touch" which is released in Winter 1994 on Sounds of Delight / SPV.

Promotion of this CD demands live-performances, and bass-player Jochen Autschbach joins the duo for the tour and the following recordings.

1995

The name is changed from CREAM8 to CREAMVIII as a sign of the former solo-project becoming a band. The first two new recordings with Jochen on bass "Seven" and "Live inside the Rain" are published by Sounds of Delight on their widely successfull first label-compilation "Sounds of Delight Vol.1".
